On the 21st of March we launched new version of Patria Online website. Tomorrow, it is going to be one hundred days from this date which brings us to do an appraisal of this period. And it is not an easy task. Many things are good, some of them are not. Expectations form the basis of everything, not only on the financial markets. And our expectations in this case were great. There was a team which worked on this project for more than a year with a goal to create an investment website oriented mostly on financial markets and economy and unrivalled in the Czech Republic. Mostly US websites served us as an example while we were also inspired by many users’ comments. However, according to the most recent data and figures, expected success is not on the way. Obviously, here we have to ask ourselves, why?
We assume that there are two main reasons:
• Launch of new website was accompanied with unexpected problems of mostly technical character. Too much time was used to stabilize the website.
• For a Czech website, pages have an innovative design while users often mentioned that website is not clearly organised. Taking this into account, we gradually adopted measures to improve this.
Among users there are going to be further comments regarding e.g. content of pages. In this case we would welcome more active approach of our readers as in this case we have only minor feedback which gives us a feeling that there is not much we can improve.
Our ambitious target remains. We want to create unique website which will maximally meet the needs of our users. This means that we will be grateful for any kind of comment. Be it either positive, which will show us that we are heading into the right direction, or negative, which will say what is there to improve. Your opinions are more than welcome on page Pool and Discussions (http://www.patria.cz/News/Discussion.aspx). Alternatively, please give us your views on info@patria.cz.
