The daily ‘HN’ has brought information that the new media law concerning digital TV broadcasting would be discussed in September. Please note that according to original schedule politicians had planned to negotiate TV law in June. The biggest problems are, according to lawyers, compensatory and preliminary licences and earlier shutdown of analogue broadcasting. Our view: We do not expect any major impact of the news. According to the preliminary agreement, both private TV stations (TV Nova and TV Prima) would receive three compensatory licences for giving up their analogue rights and six new channels should receive preliminary licences.
