The Czech stock market headed nicely higher following other markets in the region. Volume traded continues to be well above the long term averages. CEZ was again the most active listing followed by (1 190 CZK, -0,67%) and Komercni banka. Real estate developer (2 860 CZK, -2,37%) was star of the day gaining 5.6% and corrected recent heavy losses. (1 550 CZK, -0,12%) Bank closed stronger by 4.4% after 2Q07 results which came out in-line with expectations. WEST LB raised its recommendation to “add” from “hold”, furthermore Fitch revised its outlook to positive from stable. CEZ was the only listing finishing in red numbers on supply from international accounts.
