Czech equities, as measured by the PX Index, were off by 3.9% in the past week and closed at 1,420.0. The overall volume of trading on the PSE reached USD 1,202.0m, 4.8% below its 12M weekly average of USD 1,262.4m. All securities traded in Prague’s SPAD declined during past week. NWR and Philip Morris and Unipetrol eased the most. NWR was influenced by drop in coal prices and investors took their profits. Cigarette producer PMCR fell below the CZK 4,000 level. The most traded listing CEZ showed one of the best performances of the last week and decreased by 1%, the price was supported by raise of target price by Goldman Sachs. Erste Bank and Komercni banka erased about 3.5%. Zentiva went ex-dividend of 7.4 CZK at the beginning of the past week. This week Zentiva and Orco will hold their EGMs. Zentiva should discuss PPF bid and Orco a change in articles. This week the CPI and unemployment data will also be announced.
