Actual (Sep): 8.5 % Consensus: 8.5 % Previous (Aug): 8.6 % Unemployment rate declined further in September despite some negative seasonality. After the summer holiday, the rest of school leavers and graduates usually register at the job offices. This effect raised the number of registered graduates also in 2010. However, many others were succesful in finding job thanks to the slowly improving job creation. The September figures are in line with expectations and provide an evidence that the labor market is recovering progressively. In the next two months, the negative seasonal effect will wane and the unemployment rate may head for 8 pct. The end of the year will, though, bring another temporary increase.
