Former Prime Minister and Chief of Association for District Heating Mirek Topolanek said for weekly press that the Czech government should enter talks with Poland about either taking control of the Czech refining capacity of PKN Orlen or getting a guarantee that refining and petrochemical production will continue. He added that it would be good to form a holding company from Mero and Cepro and perhaps add assets of Unipetrol or Ceska rafinerska.
/PKN Orlen has recently rejected its exit from the CR. On the other hand, there is still overcapacity in Europe market and thus we could not rule out some further shakeout in Unipetrol. Should be NEUTRAL for trading with UNI shares as similar speculations has already been cited from other people involved in the matter./
