Deputy Industry Minister Pavel Solc said his ministry expects the UK to win EU approval this summer to subsidize nuclear power and that the CR will then ask for the same approval for enlarging Temelin. He said his ministry has not yet started to calculate how much it would cost to give CEZ a guaranteed electricity price for Temelin. /Neutral, we think that electricity prices at current levels in the region are not sufficient for profitable enlargement of Temelin and thus a guaranteed electricity prices for Temelin are needed to keep the project running. We estimate that baseload electricity price would have to reach at least 70 EUR/MWh to achieve 10% ROE on the project with expected CAPEX of 250 bln. CZK, which we do not see in the foreseeable future
