CETV signed a new contract with CEO Adrian Sarbu until the end of 2016. His annual salary remains USD 1.8m, but he is eligible for a golden parachute of USD 3.6-5.4m. Local media said that the likelihood of his departure this year is high, because Time Warner will have the right beginning in May to increase its minority stake to a majority. CETV’s shares are now at a 10-year low and have lost 80% since Sarbu became CEO.
