The government’s privatization committee for CTel yesterday evaluated latest bids submitted by the two privatization consortia (Deutsche Bank/Blackstone Group/TDC and Swisscom/CVC Capital Partners/Spectrum Equity Investors) remaining in the tender. No official details were disclosed.
According to unofficial reports, neither consortium raised the price offered in their previous bids (the higher was reportedly at CZK 335 per share), despite being asked to do so by the Cabinet. This was widely expected. The Cabinet is likely to discuss the bids tomorrow; the issue is not, however, on its official agenda.
