Prokom CFO, Dariusz Gorka, stated in a PAP interview that Prokom’s Group achieved its 2005 target of doubling net income from the 2004 PAS figure of PLN 37.5m. Should we assume the 2005 net income to stand at PLN 75m, the implied bottom-line for 4Q05 should stand at PLN 28.7m, at level similar to the net income of PLN 28.6m in 3Q05. This confirms the CFO's earlier statement that 4Q05 earnings would be similar to those of 3Q05. The CFO also stated that further restructuring is going to take place. In 2005, in his opinion, cost cutting measures were conducted on a macro scale, while in 2006 the goal is to improve efficiency on micro scale, i.e. in Prokom’s subsidiaries like Softbank, ABG Ster-Projekt, Comp and SPiN. Furthermore, the Group’s 2006 figures should also be positively influenced by its PVT subsidiary, which underwent substantial restructuring in 2005 and now expects large contracts. As far as the Group’s growth is concerned, the CFO stated that they are still open to potential acquisitions, with targets being sought not only domestically but outside Poland. We expect the news to have a moderately positive impact on trading today.
