Unipetrol has failed to win the tender for Aral petrol stations. The Austrian OMV has announced the purchase of Aral gas stations in the Czech Republic and it plans to invest EUR 3-4m in the network. The purchase price was not disclosed. OMV will acquire 70 Aral filling stations and in total will operate 216 stations, which will make it the biggest foreign retailer in the CR. Unipetrol’s Benzina still owns the most filling stations (300) but has agreed to sell 1/3 of them to ConocoPhilips.
Note that Unipetrol is on Patria’s restricted list.
