TV Nova (100% owned by CME) has seen its rating increase to 36.3% in week 38 from 35.7% in week 37, while that of TV Prima, its closest rival, fell to 27.0% from the previous 28.1%. The reversal of the downward trend at TV Nova following the flop of Big Brother suggests that it could have been a temporary issue. Note that speculations have appeared that advertisers may be entitled to renegotiate their contracts with TV Nova should its viewing figures fall by 40%. We are waiting for clarification from CME.
