CME: CME to benefit from ban on Czech state TV adds Parliament should decide whether to ban TV commercials on the state TV channels tomorrow. Should parliament approve the ban, TV Nova and TV Prima (the two private channels) would benefit by dividing an extra USD 40m in TV commercial revenues from the state TV between each other. This would increase TV Nova’s TV commercial market share to 75% from its current around 66% according to the OMD agency. At the same time, the air-time price would also increase. We estimate that TV Nova’s 2005 revenues would increase to USD 255m from our current forecast of USD 224m. The total TV commercial market is estimated to be worth around USD 340m.
