On Saturday the Social Democrats (CSSD) approved an agreement to form a majority Cabinet comprised of the three former coalition parties (CSSD, KDU and US-DEU). The agreement assumes that the current PM, Stanislav Gross, steps down and will be replaced by Jiri Paroubek. The agreement had already been approved by the other two coalition parties. Paroubek announced his ministerial candidates on Friday. The president is expected to accept the resignation of Gross’s Cabinet today and immediately appoint Paroubek as the new PM.
