Yesterday’s meeting of the three coalition parties failed to find any solution to the current political crisis. The PM, Stanislav Gross, said that he expects the Christian Democrats to quit the Cabinet, while the Christian Democrats said that they would no longer demand the PM’s resignation, but still see it as the best solution. Both the PM and the Christian Democrats said they are open for further talks. The Cabinet continues unchanged. Note that earlier suggestions assumed a wait for the CSSD party congress at the end of March to see whether Stanislav Gross would be re-elected as the party leader and hence the PM.
