The Czech koruna partly recovered previous losses yesterday. It opened slightly stronger and it hovered around EUR/CZK 29.98 almost whole session, as there were both strong buyers and sellers. Nevertheless strengthening trend won at the end of the day and the koruna rose to EUR/CZK 29.88. The only relevant information was that Slovak government decided to pay owed CZK 19.5 bn to CSOB. It may positively affect the currency market. The Czech government late evening decision to go on in Cesky telecom tender with 5 already known investors is more or less neutral for the koruna. Today t
he koruna may strengthen further. The calendar is empty but the Slovak government may buy Czech korunas for repayment of its CZK 19.5 bn debt.
