The Czech koruna mired in the tight range EUR/CZK 30.00-30.10 yesterday. The unit weakened almost whole session, but it jumped back at the end of the day. In the morning, the koruna opened at EUR/CZK 30.03 and around 17:00 got daily low at 30.10. Nevertheless, few minutes later it shot up to the psychological level 30.00, where it stayed over night. There was no domestic impetus for the price action, just positive atmosphere in the region might have pushed the koruna higher. Moreover, investor still have appetite to test the 30.00 level. The market ignored a short-term bond tender. Today,
the market might be rather calm since traders may wait for tomorrow’s trade gap. Nevertheless, the overall positive sentiment may outweigh caution ahead of the data release.
