Cesky Telecom CEO P. Klima said yesterday that the company would invest CZK 1.55 bil. to enable call-by-call choice of operator for customers. The company is presently negotiating call-by-call tariffs with the sector regulator; the CEO said the company wants the investment to payback in ten years. The CEO also said that the company does not expect a drastic decrease of fixed-line traffic after the call-by-call service is implemented (July), as competitors will be focused on the most profitable calls (e.g., international). The market should not be surprised by the announcement.
