According to IMS, the consumption of drugs increased by 15% y-o-y to CZK 55bn in the first 11 months of 2004 in the Czech Republic. This growth was driven by higher volumes as well as rises in drug prices. Zentiva’s Paralen (volume sold 12.8 million) and Ibalgin (volume sold 8.4 million) were the first and second best-selling drugs.
