According to the IT Minister, Vladimir Mlynar, the Czech Government should receive a proposal for the privatization form of the state's stake in CT in a month or so. The Ministry of Finance's proposal is now being debated by other ministries. Mlynar rejected some speculations that the Cabinet may postpone its decision on the privatization until next year (the Cabinet was originally expected to make the final decision in mid-November). Mlynar repeated that he favours privatization to a strategic investor. Please note that last week the privatization committee recommended selling the state's stake via capital markets. The Ministry of Finance, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister reportedly favour a capital market transaction as well. We believe that the odds are moving towards the capital market transaction. We also believe that the Cabinet will decide sooner rather than later. Nevertheless, the issue is not on the Cabinet’s regular Wednesday meeting agenda.
