The Czech Anti-Monopoly Office yesterday finally fined Benzina, Unipetrol's 100% subsidiary, CZK 98m (EUR 3.2m) for collusive behavior on the retail fuel market. Benzina, together with OMV, Shell, Aral, Conoco and Agip, reportedly created a price cartel in 2001. The AMO's ruling has been known for 18 months and the companies are likely to appeal in court.
