The PX-50 index closed up 0.97% at 792 points on Friday. Overall, it was a very active session with a strong upward move in the morning. The growth was mostly driven by domestic accounts and market-makers. Only CEZ saw fresh buyers from London. České radiokomunikace and Philip Morris CR both strengthened on speculative buying. Komercni banka and Cesky Telecom lost steam in sympathy with foreign markets after disappointing US macro data was released. Volumes were strong across the board. In coming days we expect investors to start focusing on Unipetrol again as privatization related news and speculations will likely intensify. We expect the market to sustain current levels and in the medium to long term we are still on the way up. Total volume reached EUR 89.5m on Friday.
