Yesterday the Czech currency began at 32.100 against the euro and at 27.650 against the dollar. The EUR/CZK dropped to 32.170 by mid-session but the koruna recovered in the afternoon and closed with minimal difference at 32.110. It resisted pressure to depreciate because of dividend payments abroad. The koruna appreciated slightly against the dollar and closed at 27.440. This morning the rate EUR/CZK opened at 32.070 and should stay between 31.90 and 32.30. Against the American currency the koruna began at 27.340 today and should move between 27.10 and 27.60. The rates might be influenced by the state budget debate in the Czech Parliament starting this afternoon.
