The mobile operator Eurotel, Cesky Telecom's 51%-owned subsidiary, plans to invest CZK 3.8 bil. (USD 134 mil.) into its network, this down from CZK 4.8 bil. in 2002, the Czech Press Agency reported yesterday.
T-Mobile CR, meanwhile, estimates its capex at CZK 2 bil. (USD 70 mil.) in 2003, down from CZK 5.5 bil. last year.
Lower network-related capex at both operators was largely expected as domestic mobile-phone penetration exceeds 98%, though the size of the reductions somewhat exceed our estimates.
