The Finance Ministry released new economic forecasts yesterday, with mixed revisions. While its previous forecasts had projected GDP growth of 2.3% in 2003 and 3% in 2004, its new estimates are 2.4% and 2.8%, respectively. The most important changes concern lower expected real investments in 2003, but higher private consumption, and lower private consumption in 2004 as households will be affected by the planned reform of public finances. Expected.
