Yesterday, the Czech National Bank surprisingly cut its 2W-repo rate by 25 bps to 2.25% (a cut was not expected until July). Since many recent domestic economic indicators have beaten expectations, the central bank was likely responding to the weakness of the Czech Republic’s main export market, Germany, in making the cut.
