The PX-50 index gained 0.22% to 505.70 points on Friday. The event of the day was represented by a Reuters’ report on the possible flotation of 16% in CEZ by the state, CEZ’s majority owner; the news pushed the stock down 2%, below the CZK 100 level. Komercni banka traded virtually unchanged at CZK 2,000, though the stock was well offered abroad. Erste Bank shrugged off a potential technical downward correction and gained 1.58% on a descent volume (both in Vienna and Prague).
Today, we look for a slow start in Prague; CEZ will be in focus as investors digest the news above. We, however, anticipate little intra-day volatility. Volume in the SPAD system reached USD 11.10 mil on Friday.
