The PX-50 index gained 0.90% to 458.7 points on Friday as Cesky Telecom (CT) sustained its rally and added a further 4.0% to CZK 276. Demand originated from abroad and CT stock was again the most actively traded, with a volume in the SPAD in excess of USD 5.30 mil. CEZ rose by 0.8%, still awaiting the Anti-Monopoly Office’s decision on its acquisition of regional power distributors (see below). Komercni banka lost 0.2% to CZK 2,054. For today, CT is likely to trade higher again, the overall market volume should be low, as usual for a Monday. Volume in the SPAD system totaled USD 12.84 mil. on Friday.
