The Czech weekly The Prague Post reports that Telesystem International Wireless (TIW) of Canada may dispose its stake in Cesky Mobil (which operates Oskar, the No. 3 domestic mobile operator).
A sell of the stake in Cesky Mobil to a strong European operator could intensify domestic mobile competition, which would harm Eurotel (No. 1 in the Czech Republic, 51% owned by Cesky Telecom), and Radiomobil (No. 2, 39% owned by Ceske radiokomunikace).
