The PX-50 Index gained 0.91% to 410.6 points yesterday, as the market surged toward the end of the session given rallies on US markets. Cesky Telecom was among the largest gainers on the day, adding 2.2% to CZK 228 by the close. Other names moved largely sideways most of the day, tentatively tracking Western European equities, with gains coming in the late-afternoon rally. Domestic volume picked up somewhat, as USD 13 mil. worth of shares changed hands in the SPAD. For today, we expect a strong opening, though investors may opt to collect profits and sell into the strengthening market.
