CTU, the domestic telecom-sector regulator, announced that Cesky Telecom lost CZK 0.265 bil. in the provision of so-called collective services (e.g., info services) in 2001. The loss will be covered by all the domestic operators, with liability based on respective market share. This implies, for instance, that EuroTel (51% owned by Cesky Telecom) would pay CZK 0.062 bil, that Radiomobil (39% owned by Ceske radiokomunikace) would pay CZK 0.058 bil., and that Cesky Telecom would pay CZK 0.129 bil.
Separately, after approx. four weeks of multimedia messaging service (MMS) provision by both the main domestic mobile operators, Eurotel said that it has almost 10,000 MMS users, while Radiomobil (operates T-Mobile) estimates it has 1,000 MMS users..
