The head of the state Anti-Monopoly Office, J. Bednar, announced that the AMO has received more than thirty objections to the planned acquisition of the state’s stakes in eight regional power distributors by CEZ.
The AMO began to examine the proposed transaction at the beginning of July; the review process is expected to take at most five months. We believe that the AMO will approve the transaction, though some conditions may be attached (e.g., new valuation of the distributors).
