The PX-50 index rose by 1.81% to 451.80 points on Monday. Unipetrol traded well as Agrofert, the tender winner in Unipetrol privatization, announced that it could not complete Unipetrol’s acquisition under agreed terms. Unipetrol closed 5.53% higher as investors believe that a new tender for the 63% stake in Unipetrol will be launched. Philip Morris CR added 6.27% on aggressive domestic demand. Other names traded higher, buoyed by equity gains in Western Europe. For today, the market is likely to continue adding to yesterday’s gains.
