According to the last poll of Hungarian market research firm Median before the general elections, both major parties, opposition party Hungarian Civic Alliance (Fidesz), and ruling party Hungarian Socialist Party (MSzP), will receive 44% of the votes on 9 April. Only the current coalition partner, the Alliance of Free Democrats (SzDSz) will make it to Parliament with 5%. 59% of the adult population said they would go to vote – the research agency reported. Median also made a projection about the likely split of seats in the Parliament showing the current ruling parties to be able to form a coalition again, implying no change in the composition of political ruling in Hungary for the next 4 years.
