The Finance ministry reports that volume of gasoline sold in Hungary grew by 1.8% last year, while Diesel turnover increased by an impressive 10.7%. In our view, the consumption growth is partly due to the fuel import ban imposed on private individuals in Hungary’s borders last year. Thus, we stick to our expectation that fuel consumption growth will be in the 3-4% range in average in the next few years. However, we consider the news is favorable for MOL, having 80%+ share of the country’s fuel wholesale market.
