The PX-50 index closed down 1.74% to 440.70 points on Thursday. The market witnessed a major sell-off upon the opening, with particularly Komercni banka and CEZ under pressure. Komercni was the most actively traded stock yesterday, trading in a range of CZK 1703–1773, closing down 2.16% at CZK 1755. CEZ was once again under pressure from a single account, and it gave back 3.34% of its value, closing at CZK 81. The market decline was not based on any news. Total volume reached USD 58.78 mil. Today, Ceske radiokomunikace might open weaker following the company’s announcement last evening that it had created provisions against its investment in its Contactel subsidiary.
