The Cabinet should today discuss energy-sector restructuring (in which CEZ would buy the state’s stakes in eight regional distributors, and would sell to the state a 66% stake of its 100%-owned subsidiary CEPS, the transmission grid operator). CEZ privatization should also be discussed. We expect CEZ privatization to be officially postponed until after the general elections in June, as is widely expected, and the proposed restructuring to be approved, which we see as positive for CEZ, with the potential to influence the stock.
