The PX-50 index gained a robust 2.73% on Tuesday, to 417.8 points, led once again by strong demand for banking titles. Komercni banka rose 4.36% and closed at CZK 1,246, trading intra day as high as CZK 1,260. Ceska sporitelna shot up 6.78%, to CZK 329, its high of the day. Demand for both names was strong, though there was a considerable selling flow in Cesky Sporitelna (from a large domestic investor). CEZ was aggressively offered by a London broker, which kept the stock below CZK 77. Total market volume reached USD 27.8 mil. on Tuesday.
