CEZ announced that it will bid for 49% stakes in three Slovak electricity distributors offered in a privatization tender in the Slovak Republic. The acquisition would be financed mainly from internal sources, but additional debt is possible. CEZ also suggested that it could bid for the largest Slovak power generator (Slovenske elektrarne), once it is offered for sale by the Slovak Cabinet. Should CEZ win the electricity-distributor privatization tender, the acquisitions would help to strengthen its position in the region, though the acquisition price would be a key factor for our assessment of this expansion, though. Neutral at the moment.
