The PX-50 closed unchanged at 416.60 points on Wednesday. Nonetheless, CEZ lost a further 5.68%, and traded as low as CZK 86 per share. Volume dropped to below 1 mil. shares traded (858,448). There again was strong international pressure, with domestic brokers stop-lossing their positions. The first serious buyers came at the CZK 86 low, but demand there was weak too. Komercni gained 2.31% to CZK 1,108, trading at an intra-day high of CZK 1,120 ahead of today’s irregular Cabinet meeting, which should decide on the future 60% owner of the bank. Ceske Sporitelna traded above CZK 260, in line with the strength in Komercni, we believe. Total market volume reached USD 13.35 mil.
