The Czech koruna weakened marginally on Friday, shedding 5 hallers to 35.65 CZK/EUR and 10 hallers to 41 CZK/USD as the dollar gained vis-a-vis the euro on comments from Bundesbank that an intervention would be used sparingly on the forex market. The koruna development now hinges on the CPI figure to be published today.
Bonds fell on Friday. The government bond auction were in line with expectations, however as the Ministry of Finance left whole amount sold to the market, the short positions seemed to be covered easily by bonds bought in the auction. Therefore the price dropped quickly after the auction results and market reached another lows. Monday CPI figures will be the main factor for next direction.
