An entirely dull session with an extremely low volume of USD 7.2 mil. marked the Czech market on Wednesday. The PX-50 index lost 0.58%. Worst hit among equities was Cesky telecom, down 2.35%—as low as 590.50 at one point—with only 162,000 shares changing hands. Domestic retail investors supplied most of the market’s liquidity. We are loath to say, but we do not expect much interest in the Czech market from foreign investors, which will constrain liquidity and send prices downward.
