The Min. of Finance confirmed what France Telecom told us on Thursday that there is no meeting planned between France Telecom’s top management and the government to discuss CT privatization. Economic weekly Euro repeats that the companies interested in CT privatization are Austria Telecom, France Telecom, Swisscom, TDC, TeliaSonera and Telenor. Reportedly Swisscom is meeting with PM Stanislav Gross tomorrow, November 30, to discuss CT privatization and TDC representatives are also expected to come to Prague this week. According to unconfirmed news, Swisscom is willing to offer about CZK 60bn (slightly under EUR 2bn). Telekom Austria and France Telecom seem not to be interested in privatization of CT. We remind that the cabinet is expected to decide on the form of privatisation for CT at its regular meeting on Wednesday, December 1. Source: CTK, Euro
