This week, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder’s visit to the Czech Republic (August 21 and August 24) may help to clarify what the official German position on Temelin nuclear plant is (we believe the issue could be played down). On August 24, Czech Prime Minister may meet Austrian chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, Temelin being the subject of the meeting. Also, the Cabinet meets for the first time after summer recess on Wednesday, August 22, and will receive a regular report on progress at Temelin.
The August 22 Cabinet meeting might also discuss (not yet certain, seems unlikely now) the latest TeleDanmark/Deutsche Bank bid for Ceske radiokomunikace.
