The privatization committee will discuss TeleDanmark/Deutsche Bank bid for government‘s 51% stake in Ceske radiokomunikace today. It is not certain whether the National Property Fund will succeed in adding the issue to Wednesday’s Cabinet agenda (the last Cabinet session before a three-week government recess). A FinMin official said yesterday that he did not expect Ceske radiokomunikace to be discussed during Wednesday’s meeting. It is not certain what the latest bid is - the government seeks CZK 12 bil. (CZK 765 per share), but unofficial reports vary as to the value of the latest bid. Moreover, there have been differences between the bidder and the government on other terms of the sale. Postponing a sale decision until after the summer recess would be negative for the stock; the stock will be sensitive to related news this week.
