CEZ: Today the finance minister is to present a legal analysis of the CEZ privatization advisory tender results to Cabinet. The Cabinet may seek the annulment of the advisory tender. The legal analysis prepared by the Finance Ministry reportedly finds that the Anti-Monopoly Office is the only authority that has the power to cancel the tender results, and that the AMO can do so only if it finds that the National Property Fund’s conduct has violated the law. The fate of the advisory tender is therefore still uncertain, though we believe that the cancellation of the tender is largely expected by the market.
