CR holds an AGM today at 11 am CET. Shareholders (including the National Property Fund, with a 51% stake) are expected to approve a gross dividend of CZK 324 per share (we expect approval sometime in the afternoon) and a dividend payment date. Other points on the agenda include changes to the articles of association in line with the amended Czech Commercial Code.
Unexpectedly, the Prague Stock Exchange yesterday decided to suspend trading in Ceske radiokomunikace shares today (April 19). It is not clear whether trading will resume tomorrow. The PSE did not clearly explain the reason for the suspension, though said it was to protect shareholders. A Czech SEC spokeswoman said that CR trading was suspended today because the company’s AGM is to decide on a dividend.
Also, the Czech Press Agency has reported that TeleDanmark now owns only 5.5% of Ceske radiokomunikace (20.8% previously), and that Bivideon of the Netherlands now has approximately 15%.
