The PX-50 fell 0.19% on a calm Thursday that saw a very low volume of USD 8.1 mil. There was no fundamental news on any stock and foreign investors’ activity was very low. The most active stock was Cesky Telecom, which had more than 50% of total volume traded. The news in early afternoon of Jiri Rusnok’s appointment as the new finance minister (see below) did not have any impact on equities, though the quick appointment is no doubt a good thing. Market activity should be very low today, as most of Europe and London offices are closed.
Monday is a public holiday in the Czech Republic.
