The PX-50 index gained slightly on Wednesday - up 0.45% to 444 points. Overall the session was very quiet with limited interest from investors. CEZ traded in a good volume again (appr. 1,9 mil. shares). However some 1 mil. shares were crossed before the market opened and likely were not real trades. There was some demand for Cesky Telecom in the afternoon, however, as only 159,000 shares changed hands. Both Komercni banka and Cesky Telecom report their complete IAS 2000 results today but there should be no surprises given that both companies released preliminary IAS figures in February. We will closely watch CNB news as the Czech central bank has interest rates on their agenda today (and of course the ECB too). The market is expected to open down after NASDAQ’s decline yesterday and Cesky Telecom is predicted to open in the neighborhood of CZK 405.
