Yesterday was the deadline for the submission of preliminary bids in Ceske radiokomunikace. The National Property Fund’s spokesman said yesterday that the NPF would shortlist and announce the select bidders in the course of next week. Binding bids are due in January 2001. The government reported some time ago that 10 parties were interested in the government’s 51% stake in the company. The bidders likely include TeleDanmark, Deutsche Telekom, Telecom Italia, Vivendi, Emerging Markets Partnership, and Hicks, Muse, and Tate & Furst (the latter two are financial investors).
